You can open folders containing DICOM studies, series, or files that are located on local or network drives from the Folder Contents tab. You should note that you cannot search for studies and series in the Folder Contents tab.
If you are importing folders or files from media, insert the CD or DVD with the required files in your disc drive before you begin. If the required files are stored on a USB key, insert the key in a USB port.
Whenever you open a folder in the Folder Contents tab, you can view and then open any of the DICOM studies or series contained within the folder (see Viewing Studies and Series).
The Manage DICOM Images dialog opens.
The Current Folder dialog appears.
The study or studies appear in the Folder Contents tab. You should also note that if you open additional folders, all previously available studies will be removed from the Folder Contents tab.
As an alternative to opening folders in the Folder Contents tab, you can open DICOM files directly.
The Open dialog appears.
The imported file or files appears in the Folder Contents list and is grouped within the original study. You can view any file listed in the Folder Contents tab.
You can configure the following actions for importing DICOM files in the Preferences dialog. See Configurable Actions for information about modifying a default action.
